Flimsy Staging

All kinds of stages, both permanent and temporary are available for performers. Sometimes the arrangements are a little shaky. I was performing at a prominent London setting and felt that the stage seemed a bit unsteady. My back was also near a large heavily curtained area. At the first intermission I thought I would investigate the whole placement of myself and discovered that the "stage" I was on was a regular four by eight sheet of plywood supported in each corner by a case of beer. Not only that, but checking behind the curtain I found a huge window looking out on at least a twenty foot drop.  I cautiously moved forward and for the remainder of the night made very sure I was secure and kept close to the players in front of me.
